Got ants?  We do too!  This year instead of setting out those nasty chemed out traps, we set out cinnamon and cayenne piles.  If you place lines or piles of these spices in high ant traffic areas, they are sure to get rid of them, and not harm your children (well besides the cayenne causing a bit of pain), which is better then them getting a hold of poisonous sprays and traps!

A great way to avoid using the TOXIC fabric softeners when doing the laundry, is to toss a couple of tennis balls in to the dryer with a wet load.  Those ball aren't just for tennis, they will create nice air pockets that will help your clothes dry faster and feel softer.
